Holocaust commemoration remains a core priority for Jewish communities in Australia and around the world. Our panelists will explore how Sydney has commemorated the Shoah so far—and ponder the future of Holocaust commemoration. How important will survivor testimony be for future generations—who will not meet those survivors in person? What innovative forms of remembering are being developed to fill this gap? In what ways should we preserve or adjust our collective narrative to make Holocaust memory relatable to future generations?
