Out of sight, extreme preachers, so-called columnists, and radio broadcasters in Arabic take advantage of Australia’s freedom of speech to preach hatred against the West, spread conspiracy theories and antisemitism, and incite for terror. Unlike the vast majority of law-abiding Muslims in Australia, a handful of Australians are being radicalised by such messages. This session is based on studies I conducted for the Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council (AIJAC).
