Attacks on Jews in Pittsburgh and Poway and on Muslims in Christchurch have shown the far right to be a real and dangerous threat globally. What forces have precipitated this rise in right-wing extremism? What can we do to combat white supremacist ideology and violence? Should online platforms take responsibility for controlling the development and transmission of this hatred? How can we keep our synagogues safe?
