Former Soviet Jews immigrated to Australia after decades of official regime discrimination that almost completely destroyed Jewish religion and culture in the public sphere. After living in Australia in proximity to thriving Jewish communities for several decades, how have Russian-speaking Jews adapted their identity? The latest findings about Russian-speaking Jews in Melbourne are presented, based on data from the Gen17 survey and interviews.
