History has a way of showing up without being invited, and relatives can be hidden for decades, but when truth is revealed changes emerge. Kalisz: A Journey of Return is the novel I wrote after my first visit to Kalisz, my father's ancestral homeland. It's a sweeping drama, traversing Poland through Palestine and gathering up generations of two World Wars and beyond.
