Over the centuries, Jews have approached the figure of Jesus with curiosity, fear, hatred, and respect. He has been cast both as ‘brother’ and as ‘that man’ whose name is not pronounced. The way Jews view Jesus often reflects how Jews view themselves in relation to the culture in which they live.
