In light of Israel’s recent Bereshit moon-launch we will look at another inspirational Israeli pioneer of space, Ilan Ramon. This session will focus on the symbolic importance of Ramon’s achievements for Israel, Zionism, and Jews throughout the world. Ramon’s mission symbolised that Israel, despite all that it is wrestling with, can go anywhere and continues to reach for the stars.
