Between August 1942 and April 1943, a small team of Polish Jewish researchers feverishly buried three caches of precious material. The first was unearthed in 1946 and the second in 1950. The caches represent the desperate attempt of Warsaw's embattled Jews to record and memorialise who they were for the remembering by a world that they would never see. In this session, we will consider the incredible story of the archive and present an overview of its remarkable contents.
