Over the past few months Israel witnessed a passionate election campaign and a historic women’s domestic violence protest. But the elected 21st Knesset has fewer women than the 20th, and gender equality issues are hardly its top priority. This session will examine the main challenges for Israel’s feminist movement. How does Israel compare to other countries in terms of female political representation? What is being done to promote gender equality in Israeli politics?
