Bernie Tuch
Professor Tuch is an observant Jew spearheading an Australian consortium to use Israeli insulin-producing stem cells as a therapy for type 1 diabetes. He is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney and Monash University, Director of the NSW Stem Cell Network and the Australian Foundation for Diabetes Research, and an endocrinologist in private practice. Bernie teaches the Melton program on Jewish Medical Ethics and is a past president of Mount Sinai College.
