David has been Director of Interreligious Engagement at the ADL (Anti-Defamation League) since 2014. An expert in Jewish–Christian relations, he was previously Professor of Jewish Studies at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and was involved in producing ‘Dabru Emet: A Jewish Statement on Christians and Christianity’ (2000). David has led interfaith travel courses in Israel and the Palestinian territories and he has authored or edited a number of publications about the Jewish relationship with other faiths, including Christianity in Jewish Terms (2000) and Irreconcilable Differences? (2001). David earned his PhD in Religious Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on Judaism and Christianity in the Greco-Roman World.
