Rabbi Ninio was ordained in 1998 and has been at Emanuel Synagogue, Woollahra, since then. She was the synagogue’s first female rabbi and the third Australian-born woman to receive rabbinic ordination. She has an interest in midrash, liturgy, and ethics and is an active leader in the Synagogue’s social justice programs. Rabbi Ninio has a passion for storytelling and believes that stories are a powerful medium for sharing ideas, for teaching and for communicating.
