Miriam Guttman-Jones

Miriam is a registered nurse and ran an endoscopy clinic for 22 years. She was the only independent councillor on Waverley Council from 2009 to 2017, during which time she also served as deputy mayor for the calendar year 2011–12. Miriam ran for the seat of Vaucluse as an independent, running on policies concerned with proper infrastructure to deal with overdevelopment, new public high schools, government transparency about developments (such as Allianz Stadium), more support for local small businesses, and a serious review of the current lockout laws.
