Oren is a graduate of Middle East Studies at the Hebrew University. He came to Australia in 2016 after working for 15 years in Jerusalem as a teacher and leader of grassroots peace and reconciliation initiatives between Arabs and Jews. Oren now teaches at Emanuel School while completing his MA in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Sydney. He also teaches the history of the Arab–Israeli conflict at the Melton School.
