Rachel Rosenthal

Rachel lectures in Talmud and Rabbinic Literature at the Jewish Theological Seminary, where she was voted Professor of the Year in 2018. A graduate of the Drisha Scholars Circle, she teaches at the Drisha Institute and in Nishma: A Summer of Torah Study at JTS. She is currently a David Hartman Center Fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America and lives in New York City with her husband. Rachel recently completed her PhD in Talmud, focusing on rabbinic models of moral education, and believes that anyone can learn rabbinic literature, whether they see it for the first time at 8 or 80!
